Country’s one of the top comedian, Kapil Sharma is to host his iconic comedy show, with a name change yet again on Netflix, every Saturday 8pm from 30th March.
This time it will be The Great Indian Kapil Show, with revised content and more characters to see. Kapil Sharma has recently confirmed this on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Ace comedian Sunil Grover is also expected to be seen this time.

The title of the show seems to be a clever nod to Kapil Sharma’s previous ventures, ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ In a teaser clip released by Netflix, Kapil Sharma, along with Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, and Rajeev Thakur, can be seen brainstorming ways to announce the show’s name in a grand manner.
However, the excitement takes a humorous turn when Rajeev Thakur reveals that bringing back Sunil Grover has tightened the budget. Sunil Grover, making a stylish entry, adds to the banter by joking about avoiding planes, referencing their alleged mid-air spat. Various ideas are tossed around, including involving star kids, but ultimately, the teaser concludes with the grand reveal of the show’s title, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show.’
Sharing the video, Netflix says, “Aapke ghar ka raasta, hasee se hokar jaata hai. The Great Indian Kapil Show arrives at 8 PM every Saturday from 30 March, only on Netflix.”While fans eagerly await the show’s premiere, Kapil Sharma gears up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Crew,’ where he shares screen space with Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu.
Kapil and Sunil worked together on former’s show The Kapil Sharma Show when they had a falling out in 2017. They were reportedly on a flight when Kapil launched an attack on Sunil in a drunker stupor. Sunil immediately quit the show and many turned against Kapil for misbehaving with his team. Kapil made a comeback few years later with new episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show and Sunil has been working in a bunch of Bollywood movies and web series.
